Kwun Tong swimming complex provides the ideal respite from Hong Kong’s oppressive humidity. Kowloon Park Swimming Pool was opened as part of the massive expansion and redevelopment project that started with the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre construction in 1987. While originally managed by Urban Council, when this body disbanded at the turn of the millennium operations of public pools were taken over by Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD).
